Club Competition 2007
The 2007 Cotswold Water Ski Club tournament also heralded the first week of summer!
Wednesday was the first day that all our wannabe "Dan Knotts" gathered to fight it out behind Jeremy Drew's Supra Tournament boat provided by Skiers Choice Inc. Thanks to them for making it an awesome day with the battle of the wake boarders resulting in Peter Ward, Heather McNamee, Adrian Right and Max Edwards coming out tops.
Barefooting an increasingly popular discipline was hosted by Alan Dawson and Luke Muscott on Thursday. With perfect conditions it was a superb contest with some barefooting for the very first time. Best performance of the day was from George McMillan.
Friday saw George Hazelwood in his Malibu boat with forty eager kids waiting to participate in their competition. Another glorious day commenced with the slalom event. The youngest competitor being Sammy Scott who is just eight years old. Tricks, Kneeboards and junior jump followed with outstanding performances from all kids.
Kids Overall winners:
Tiddlers Girls: 1. Lauren Bentley, 2. Phillipa Curtis, 3. Sophie Mullis
Tiddler Boys: 1. Alex Coughlan, 2. Max Edwards, 3. Matt Pearce
Junior Boys: 1. Ben Jeffries, 2. Connor Hadfield, 3. Jack Jefferies
Junior Girls: 1. Annie Curtis, 2. Hannah Mullis, 3. Abi Scott
Saturday and now its the turn of the adults and the competition is no less fierce! Once again the weather was perfect, the water was flat as glass just waiting for skiiers to cut through its tranquillity a brilliant day was had by everyone who entered. This year several of our junior competitors competed in the adults section. Danni Coughlin (14) and George McMillan (14) and Jack Scott all produced exceptional performances. Of course we need to mention our eldest competitor Mick Coot. Once again the jump was very exciting with Gerald Shepperd taking the glory with one of his spectacular jumps!

The week's events climaxed on Saturday with the CWSC Summer Ball which this year was in true "Bollywood Style".
