Cotswold Water Ski Club
Make our happy place, your happy place
At Cotswold Water Ski Club, fun takes center stage. Our members, ranging from beginners to seasoned skiers, share exhilarating moments and achievements on our crystal-clear waters. At CWSC, it is not just about the sport; as a members-only club, we are a vibrant community where laughter echoes, friendships flourish, and every splash brings joy and excitement. Nothing happens at any club without a team of enthusiastic volunteers, and our club is no different. We operate with a member-elected Board of Directors who oversee the day-to-day running of the club voluntarily, along with our committee teams who manage the social events, sports events, coaching days, and general site management.
The CWSC Story
In the late 1970s, a group of 100 enthusiasts came together to purchase an old quarry, laying the foundation for what would become a vibrant club cherished by its members. Many of the original founding members are still active participants today, with 3rd and 4th generations of CWSC members now taking to the water. Originally a 100-acre lake with space for 10 tents, CWSC now offers a dedicated slalom course with ski and barefoot jumps, a recreational lake with a secluded training area for beginners, a wakeboard slider, and moorings for over 40 boats. Plus a functional clubhouse and summer marquee, 2 shower blocks, a secure boat park and 80 caravan spaces - plus we still have space for tents!
We also have a member-run bar, open on weekends and for special events for members to unwind after a day on the water.
Family is at the heart of everything we offer at CWSC, in 2024 we introduced our Junior Committee to encourage our younger members to be more involved in the running of the club. Throughout the year we offer training in all disciplines; Slalom, Trick, Jump, Barefoot, and Wakeboard on dedicated days, inviting accredited coaches onsite.
Within our own ranks, we have several accredited coaches who are happy to jump in a boat and offer training and we are proud to have members who are also representing Great Britain at International levels.
